Some great Judo on show by Battlehill Judo Club students who competed in the Regional Schools Qualification Event at South Shields.
Kiera Pentolfe, Year 6/7 u36kg was undefeated to secure the first Gold Medal of the day, followed by Dan Swift in the u46kg group winning 3 from 4 contests to gain a Silver Medal.
Joe Flaherty entered the Year 8/9 event in the u60kg securing a Silver Medal.
The Year 10 to 13 Age Group saw Ellie Hutton, Josh Stoneman and Charlotte Kendal each remain undefeated to secure another three Gold Medals. Ellie Winning 3, Charlotte 3 and Josh 4 contests.
All Students having secured 1st or 2nd place at this event will each qualify for the prestigous British Schools Competition to be held at Sheffied early next year.
4 Gold and 2 Silver medals from our students was a great achievement, well done all.
